Fragrances are products made from natural or synthetic oils and essences, which are mixed with alcohol and water to achieve the expected result, forming this substance, also known as perfume.
What are olfactory notes?
It is now that your choice of fragrance starts to take shape, and to make some sense, because when it comes to the olfactory notes we are talking about the factor responsible for the change of scent of the fragrance over the hours. And to understand this better, we need to know that what determines these notes is the time it takes for them to evaporate.
Starting notes or top notes: They are felt in a few minutes, about 5 or 10 minutes, being responsible for the first impression of the fragrance, usually light and fresh.
Heart notes or body notes: They are felt in about 2 to 6 hours, and are responsible for giving personality to the perfume, usually floral and fruity.
Background or base notes: Lasts up to 8 hours and is the one that stays on the skin the longest, and is usually woody, spicy or resinous.
Don't forget to choose well which will be the olfactory family of the perfume you will choose. The most common olfactory families are: Woody, Citrus, Fruity, Floral, Oriental, Aromatic and Cyprus. Each one of them has its own personality.
